During this era of social media and the increase of screen time during this pandemic, it’s easy to find ourselves comparing our lives to others. This is dangerous because we can start determining our value–our worth–based on our comparison to others.
I’ve been guilty of this. I’ve compared my looks, my achievements, my God-given gifts, and even my personality to other people. It’s definitely a self-esteem destroyer. You can spiral and start believing you aren’t worth anything. That’s why we have to learn how to live by God’s standards and not society’s standards.
