I saw Spiderman: Far From Home recently and let me tell you? AMAZING! It was so good. In the movie, Peter Parker has his “peter tingle” (at least that’s what Aunt May calls it) that helps him know when danger is nearby. It’s really just his spidey senses. When Peter started trusting his “peter tingle”, he was able to conquer the obstacles in front of him. And that had me thinking: Peter’s spidey senses are really just his sixth sense. If Peter can use his sixth sense, what about us? If we begin to trust how God speaks to us through discernment, through our gut instinct, through that feeling of “something just isn’t right”, how much can we succeed or how much trouble can we avoid?
James 1:5-6 states, “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.”
Have your spider senses been tingling lately?
